We are an Approved Laboratory for fire testing in accordance with various designated standards covered by the UK’s Construction Products Regulation (CPR). Our test reports can enable UKCA Marking to comply with the UK’s Construction Products Regulation
A History Dating Back to the 1970's
Our laboratory was set up in 1976 to test textile materials, it has now developed massively to cover a range of textile items

Tests We Offer
Construction Products
We can carry out a BS EN 13501-1 fire classification for combustible materials (Classes B - F), to enable UKCA Marking to comply with the UK’s Construction Products Regulation.
In conjunction with our Certification Team, we can offer the whole package of testing and certification to enable manufacturers to apply for CE and UKCA Marking as required by the EU’s and UK’s Construction Products Regulation. The test methods specified for combustible materials in BS EN 13501-1 are:
- BS EN ISO 11925-2 - Single-flame Source Test
- BS EN 13823 Single - Burning Item Test (SBI)
- BS EN ISO 9239-1 - Radiant Panel Test (Floorings only)
We also offer testing to BS 476:Parts 6 and BS 476:Part 7 formerly required by Approved Document B, Volumes 1 and 2, which are the fire guidance documents for the UK’s Building Regulations.
Marine Industry IMO (International Maritime Organisation)
We are an IMO Recognised Laboratory and together with our Certification Department we can offer the whole package of testing and certification to assist clients to apply for WheelMark certification and UK Mark of Conformity (“The Red Ensign”). The list of accredited tests are:

Certification
We offer a one-stop shop for testing and certification. Our Certification Team helps manufacturers apply for CE and UKCA Marking in accordance with EU and UK regulations.
