Upcoming Seminar: Antistatic PPE

Posted 16/04/2025

You are invited to the upcoming BTTG® Seminar on Tuesday 23rd April 2025.

Safety is of the utmost importance in the PPE sector, but could a lack of understanding be preventing optimal protection?

Delivered by our expert speaker Chris Butcher, this event will provide greater understanding around a common form of PPE: Antistatic.

The way antistatic PPE works is not as clear as other forms of protection, so understanding its workings is important against the significant risks of electrostatics and the possibility of explosive discharges.

By attending this seminar, you will:
✅ Gain in-depth insight into the principles of electrostatics
✅ Understand how antistatic clothing works to prevent explosive discharges
✅ Become aware of the numerous forms of accident and risk mitigation that come with greater understanding of this PPE
✅ Explore how materials and garments are tested
✅ How our testing complies to the relevant standards
✅ Become aware of the numerous forms of accident and risk mitigation that come with greater understanding of this PPE

Aside from equipment itself, information and understanding are key to ensuring safety. If you are a user, designer, manufacturer, or are responsible for antistatic PPE in your organisation, this seminar is for you.

Please join us in person in Manchester, or online via Teams, between 10:30 – 14:00 BST on April 23rd. The event can be attended in person at Manchester Manchester M17 1EH, or online via TEAMS.
